Census 2000

The U.S. Census Bureau is gearing up for the 2010 Census.  Look here for more information as it becomes available.

Census data directly affect how more than $200 billion per year in federal and state funding is allocated to local, state and tribal governments. The data also are vital to other planning decisions, such as emergency preparedness and disaster recovery.

Census 2000 information can be found throughout our site by clicking on a county on the navigation bar and checking out the "Economic Profiles" for population and housing information or " Population Estimates" which include 2000 population and the most current available population estimates for counties and municipalities.  Our Community Profiles also contain information from the 2000 Census.
